I spent about a week in Cusco, its a really lively jolly town quite high up in´t mountains, in the South of Peru. Luckily I didn´t really get any altitude sickness, apart from when walking up the hill to the hostel - it was only a 5 min walk, but I was breathless at the top every time! Got a cool view from the hostel over the Plaza de Armas though:

I got a horseride around the local sites around the town, here are pictures of Tambo Machay and Sacsayhuaman (pronounced like "Sexy Woman"):


And here too is a pic of the famous 12 angled stone in a wall in Cusco town. Yeah I know, its just a another stone:


And finally, here´s a picture of the Inca flag! Yes, it does look like the Gay flag, and indeed, there are disputes at the moment about getting it changed.
I really liked Cusco, it was a bit cooler temp-wise because of the altitude, and when it rained it poured, but the main square felt relatively safe, and everyone was very friendly.
