Only 2 hours into the heart of the mountains by train.
Met a nice lady on the train whose son was playing the "didgie" at the Winter Magic festival which we were going to. She invited us to her house too...people are so friendly here.
Festival full of badly dressed/fancy-dressed people with capes and hats and masks and stripey tights
Saw a guy handling deadly snakes
Some ladies did a really lame demonstration of kahuna massage.
Some bearded and funny-haired people did a cool capoeira demo.
Had drinks in a really scummy pub but which was full of cheerful chappies playing guitars and singing.
Beautiful place, and so close to Syd!
Going again soon to go on the scary funicular train which drops you off the edge of a cliff and kills you or something...sounds good eh?
