Great North Walk
Discovered another lovely area near Sydney this weekend. Its part of the Great North Walk. I started at a small town called Hornsby and finished at Berowra - 22km - took me
about 5 hours in the end as I did my knee in (again!) half way into the walk, but not too badly. I was also determined to finish it as I was supposed to be training for a bigger charity walk at the end of the month: the Oxfam Trailwalk where you have to walk 100km in a max of 48 hours. Was
going to join a team and try to do it in 25ish hours with just a couple of short breaks, but seeing as my knee didn't like it after 10km, not sure I will be doing it anymore. Quite disappointed, but perhaps its for the best as 100km in 25 ish hours with no sleep is kind of extreme. Might try doing it another time but camp halfway.
