Met Sr Pedro at Lima airport, after my 12 hour flight - thought it was 6 as the arrival time is shown in local time, but we´re 6 hours behind! Staying in nice area of Lima - Miraflores. Pedro is now in Santiago and I´m all alone boo hoo. I am the only person in my 8-bed dorm! Where are all the other travellers?! Really hot and have been sweating most unladylikely. Went to a small Inca site today called Huaca Pacllana, which is a place built up with hundreds of layers of small adobe bricks, and they{re still excavating it finding the remains of all the women that were sacrificed (only the talented female weavers were sacrificed of course, and some children). Was really interesting, and they had a little farm with alpacas and llamas which were so cute, and of course some poor old guinea pigs, doomed and preparing themselves for the old casserole dish/kebab stick. There were also some UGLY dogs - they looked like hyenas or punks - will try and put my pictures on here at some point. Uh, WORST of all, I was on the tour with 5 old Americans, and one of the men was still recovering from a face lift, with these huge stitched up flaps of skin in front of his ears. BLEEEEEEE! Didn't take photo of that tho. Off to look round a museum now...tell u more later |
