Well, why do things happen, eh? I was just wishing I could stay a bit longer in South America, and what happens, my flight from El Calafate to Buenos Aires is cancelled because of a 24 hour strike. That meant that I wasn´t going to be able to get to Santiago in Chile in time for my flight to New Zealand...so I had to move my New Zealand flight, and the first available one was 14th April. Before when I was looking to extend my stay I thought that was too long, but NOW, I am so pleased and excited!!! It means I can now visit Bariloche (in the Lake District), Mendoza (lots of wine) and Cordoba (2nd city), AND, I will do more Spanish lessons and truly redeem myself. Although I´ve been getting on fine in the day-to-day stuff, conversations are still v. Spanglish and embarrassing for moi, so all these things I can DO now! Thank you Aerolineas Argentinas for giving me no other option than to stay here! Well, to be honest, I did have other options, I could have paid a fortune for a last minute flight from Buenos to Santiago, but this was the best and most agreeable option and didn´t take much thinking about.
New Zealand et al will have to wait!
